The green will close at 18:00 on Wednesday 30/9/15 to allow green maintenance to commence on Thursday 1/10/15

Assistance Required

We urgently require more people to help with maintaining the green and surrounding areas  - if you can assist (no experience required as training can be provided) please contact Bob or Dudley for more information.

URGENT REQUEST

Bob has formally announced that he will be retiring from his position as Greenkeeper at the end of the season.

I would like to extend the thanks of all club members for the work that Bob has undertaken to provide the club with a good bowling surface.

As all will appreciate we must have someone who is prepared to assume respopsibility for maintaining the green and so we are seeking a volunteer for this position.

The greenkeeper does not have to do it all himself he will be able to call on other club members to help him in his tasks.

Please do not think that you will have to be an expert in order to take up this position.  The prime skill required is the desire to learn from others (including external ‘experts’) and the willingness to co-ordinate the activities of all of the members prepared to assist in the tasks associated with providing a good green for the members to play on.

Some formal training might be possible.

Typically the greenkeeper will be responsible for the

co-ordinatiion of and assistance in:-

Any one interrested or requiring additional information please contact any committee member.

You know you can do it - please volunteer.
